Silver in its pure state is a very soft, malleable metal. It is only slightly harder than gold. It has been known since antiquity, is mentioned in the Book of Genesis, and there is evidence that silver was being separated from lead as early as 3,000 B.C.E. It has been historically second in value only to gold, although in modern times the metals platinum, rhodium and palladium are worth more.

With Europe’s discovery of the New World came the discovery of rich sources of gold and silver. Tradition says that the Spanish conquistador Pizarro had his horse shod with silver horseshoes because of the abundance of silver in Mexico and the scarcity of iron. There were not only gold rushes in The United States in the 19th century, there was also silver rushes. In Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, California and other areas of the western United States and Canada the mining of silver contributed to the influx of settlers and became a vital part of the economy.

Silver has also played a part in folklore, from the Lone Ranger’s ‘calling card’ of a silver bullet, to slaying a werewolf with a weapon or bullet made of silver. But most silver has been used for coins, the decorative arts, flatware, and jewelry.

Silver has been used for coins since ancient Greece, but is seldom used to make coins for everyday commerce today. Commemorative coins are still struck using silver, for collectors and investment purposes. During the Renaissance the displaying of silver objects in private homes and churches reflected the wealth ands prosperity of the owner. This eventually led to the popularity of silver dinner ware. In the middle 19th century silver flatware and other implements of the table made of silver were in high fashion. Artisans have used silver to create body adornments since ancient times, and along with gold remains a popular metal for jewelry.

As pure silver is far too soft to use to make tableware and jewelry, it is usually combined with another metal to create an alloy called sterling silver. The usual alloy of sterling silver consists of 92.5% silver and 7.5% of copper. This alloy is more durable than pure silver, but still retains its workability and value.

I am amazed! It happened again! Synchronicity!

It was a warm, sunny day and I was enjoying the day while relaxing in my backyard, swaying on my swing chair to the music of a rock band that I had not heard about until that day. The music sounded familiar but different at the same time. The radio announcer shouted the name of the song and the band that preformed this rocking tune. The song was titled 鈥淥h Yeah鈥?and the band was 鈥淐hickenfoot鈥? Now I thought, 鈥淲ho are they?鈥?What an odd name. I then learned that group was a mixture of four top musicians from various top rock bands that had gotten together to form an even better one. Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, Chad Smith and Joe Satriani. What a fabulous combination! No wonder the song sounded familiar. The recipe: 2 parts Van Halen, 1 part Red Hot Chili Peppers and a dash of an incredible solo guitarist!

I knew that seeing them live would be a concert that I wouldn鈥檛 want to miss. I entered the contest that the radio station was holding to see 鈥淐hickenfoot鈥?live in August. Then I forgot about it. A week later, I received a phone call advising me that I had won 2 tickets to their performance!!

See, I knew I would be going to their concert. I set my mind to it, put the thought in an envelope and sent it out to the universe and now I am going!

Mindset! Mindset! I can鈥檛 stress that enough. Mindset!

Positive thinking will get you everywhere (as opposed to nowhere). If you are going to succeed in your business, you MUST always think positively. Live in the moment and know that you are enough to get you to where you see yourself a month, 6 months, a year from now. Do NOT let anything stop you. Stomp on discouragements and distractions. Tell that voice in your head that may be giving you doubts to be quiet. As an entrepreneur, you are in control. Success and Financial Freedom will be yours.

Just like these four Top Performers coming together to produce Top Entertainment, Mastermind Groups make Top Producers in the entrepreneur business world. You are in the right place at the right time. Look in the mirror and remind yourself everyday that you are amazing.

So, you love, maybe even live for, that first cup ‘o joe each morning. How do you brew it? Finding the best coffee machine can be a daunting task. There are so many on the market, it can be quite difficult to choose the one that is just right for you. These four tips will help your quest for the best coffee machine easier and more efficient.

1. Personal Preference
Everyone has their own taste preference and usage preference so choosing the best coffee maker is really a personal endeavor. You have to evaluate what you want and need because the “best” is very subjective. Perhaps you live in a small apartment or house where counter space is limited. In that case, an under cabinet coffee maker would probably best suit your purpose. On the other hand, if you like to have your coffee right when you wake, a coffee maker with a timer may be your best bet. Research the various designs and features of coffee makers to find the best coffee machine for you. Whether an under cabinet coffee maker or a counter top version, the best coffee machine is the one that best suits your own preferences.

2. Brand, Size and Color
Some people have certain brands that they prefer. Price really does not play into the brand because some of the best name brands do have low price models that maintain the quality that the name carries. Some people, though, just prefer to keep with the same brand throughout their home.

Size is also important. If you are the only one who drinks coffee or you don’t drink much, then a small coffee pot is the best coffee machine to get. On the other hand, if you drink a lot of coffee or you have several people in your home who drinks coffee, then a larger coffee pot, like 8, 10 or even 12 cups would be the best coffee machine for you.

Color is an issue for some people and other people just don’t care. Many manufacturers are making their coffee makers very colorful. Now you can go into a store and are very likely to find a coffee maker that fits any décor.

3. The 4 Ps
When you are in the market for the best coffee machine, remember the four Ps: Price, Phew Value, Popularity and Plot. Consider the price first. Can you afford a model that is really good but carries a hefty price tag? Remember, you generally get what you pay for so that $10 may be easy on your wallet, but think of quality as well. Next is the Phew Value. Sure, it is a great coffee maker, but is it so complicated that you can not utilize all of the features? It may be a great pot, but if you can’t use it, it is worthless.

Popularity should also be considered. It is popular for a reason, be it ease of use, great price or quality. But don’t let that popularity lead you into purchasing a coffee maker that has features that you don’t really need or one that does not suit your needs. Plot in the last consideration. Think about the space that you have in your kitchen. Do you have room on your counters for a coffee maker? Would you be better served with an under cabinet coffee maker? Think about your needs and space available before you take the plunge.

4. What are the features that you can’t live without
Do you absolutely need a clock, filter basket, cord storage, adjustable water temperature, clean light, auto shut off, pause and serve or other features? There are some pretty fancy coffee makers out there. Think about the features that you need and want, just remember that some of those fancy features carry a fancy price tag.

Another way is to visualize the number, try and picture it as huge writing in the sky encrusted with sparkling diamonds, see it everywhere you look.
Many of us have a hard time remembering numbers, words are usually easier because you can associate them with an object. For instance, if I asked you to remember the word “book”, a picture of a book appears in your mind, but if I said remember 3984, then most of us would not be able to remember it after a few minutes of not seeing it.

So how can we try and conquer this problem?

One of the best ways is to use your eyes and ears to help you picture the number in your mind.
As I mentioned earlier, if I said remember 3984, it can easily be forgotten, but if I wrote three-nine-eight-four, then it may make it easier?

Another way is to visualize the number, try and picture it as huge writing in the sky encrusted with sparkling diamonds, see it everywhere you look. You can also make up rhymes to help you remember it: Three-nine-eight-four what is this number for? Or something similar but memorable to you, maybe use a well known song or tune that you love instead?

As we know it is easier to remember words, so why not convert the numbers to words?
A=0, B=1, C=2 and so on?
3984 becomes DJIE.
This is barely easier to remember than the number, so turn it into an acronym like DJ is evil, this is much easier to remember. Just the exercise of working out the number from the letters will eventually help burn it into your memory.
John Osgood is a hypnosis enthusiast who runs the website http://www.hypnosismagicsecrets.com

Choosing the best cell phone is very important

One could hardly keep up with the surge of cell phone technological developments and innovations nowadays. the cellular phone has gone a long way from those days when they were the size of briefcases. Gone also were those days when you have to use large antennas to just get a decent reception. Today, complexity is the name of the game. But no matter how far the cell phone technology would go, the basics would remain the same. Accessories, the necessary ones, which go with the cell phone, would always be a part of the purchase. Think of batteries, cables and, of course, the cellular charger for the phone

There is a law on cell phone batteries called Murphy’s Law. This law states that the cell phone battery is sure to die on you during the worst possible instant. To avoid the Murphy effect on your phone, make good use of the cellular charger for your phone.

Your cell phone may have the latest technology like Windows mobile 5.0 or even a digital camera but minus the charger, it is, well, useless. Cellular phone chargers are basically there to give life back to a used up battery. To use it, all you need is an electrical source with an outlet, plug in the charger, insert the other end to your cell phone and it’s good to go. There are different types of cellular phone chargers that are available in the market today. These are the following:

Desktop chargers are cellular phone chargers that you would normally use at home. You simply let the phone ‘sit’ on the charger and voila, it’s going to be charged. Cigarette lighter plug-ins/Car chargers are the portable cellular phone chargers that you normally use while you are mobile (a.k.a. in your car and driving).

There is one very interesting innovation when it comes to cellular phone chargers. This is the sidewinder portable charger. The sidewinder can be used for as long as you want. It need not be replaced and unlike a spare battery, this sidewinder charger never runs out of power. What you have to do is, you have to constantly turn a handle as you charge your cell phone. It uses manual power and it is quite simple and basic to operate.

This device comes in handy in instances where emergencies occur and no electrical outlet of any sort could be accessed. Or you could take it with you to long hikes and other extended trips. Or think of that moment when you are in the middle of nowhere and you have to make a very important, if not a life saving, call.

The procedure is, turn the crank for about 2 rpm (revolution per second). This should generate enough current to charge your cell phone. This would produce about 5 volts, which is good enough since a regular charger gives about 6 volts. On average, this would be able to give your unit another 6 minutes of talk time and standby time of 30 minutes.

The great news here is, any type of cell phone could be plugged in with the sidewinder. Nokia phones are sure to be charged and the sidewinder kit also comes with 3 adapters that would suit other types of cell phones. Motorola calls their sidewinder the FreeCharge. With 45 minutes of winding, this cellular phone charger is sure to provide you with feasible talk time and standby time (enough to make that very important phone call during emergency situations).

There was also a study that made use of air or wind energy to charge cellular phones. It works when the wind moves the turbines of the device and the device, in turn produces electricity. IIT-Delhi developed this technology that is still undergoing development.

If you’re in a hotel and you lost your cellular phone charger, don’t panic. Chances are, the hotel staff can provide you with one. Most hotels have chargers for most of the modern cellular phone models.

When you’re elsewhere and there is no source of electricity, get a sidewinder, or you could probably make use of wind energy (huh!). Remember Murphy’s Law? Don’t be caught without a charger on hand! It’s now a daily must.

The Aquitaine region of France is most famous — and rightly so — for its fabulous beaches and superb wine. It was named by the Romans who were extremely happy to discover so many rivers flowing through the land. England, as well as the Romans, once ruled this under-rated area of France. If you are searching for French property for sale, then this region has got to be at the top of your list.

Most regions of France enjoy good food and wine as a part of daily life. This region benefits from truly great food and wine. Bordeaux is a major wine producing area, known the world over. But did you know you can also find a natural inland sea with the largest beach in the whole of Europe here? It is this sea, Bassin d扐rcachon, which produces more than 80% of the country抯 mussels.

You will probably be familiar with the regions within Aquitaine, such as Dordogne, Gironde and Lot-et-Garonne, but probably the most famous place within this region is Bordeaux, which is at the heart of the Gironde.

Gironde is the largest of the 慸epartments?or areas within Aquitaine. It has more than two thousand mile of rivers and seventy miles of fine coastline. The Gironde is home to more than one million people. It was named after the estuary which was formed by two rivers, the Dordogne and the Garonne. Summers here are hot, and winters tend to be mild. There are a multitude of traditional villages in this region, many set picturesquely amongst acres of vineyards.

Bordeaux, nestled in the heart of the Gironde, with a population of just over half a million inhabitants, is at the heart of south-west France. It has what is considered to be the most important port in the whole of Europe. But it is probably better known for its neoclassical architecture and spacious, well kept town centre. Bordeaux also boasts wide boulevards as well as well tended parks. An air of the 18th century pervades the streets, a feeling which appears to have been effortlessly cultivated.

The town was first settled in the third century BC by Romans. Between 1154 and 1450 the English took charge, and assisted with the development of the wine industry. By far the most popular and widely known of the many wines produced in this area is the red wine known as Claret.

If easy access from the UK is important to you, you should be reassured that the region has an extensive travel network. Bordeaux is now linked by TGV to Paris. And airlines such as Air France and British Airways have regular flights into Bordeaux from the UK.

If you have been searching for a property for sale in south west France, you owe it to yourself and your family to explore the delightful area of Aquitaine.

The candles, which are made from petroleum, are a source of known human carcinogens and indoor pollution, researchers said in a study to be presented Wednesday at the American Chemical Society’s national meeting in Washington, D.C.

In the study, R. Massoudi and Amid Hamidi found that candles made from beeswax or soy, although more expensive, apparently are safer because they do not release potentially harmful pollutants.

“An occasional paraffin candle and its emissions will not likely affect you,” Hamidi said in a news release. “But lighting many paraffin candles every day for years or lighting them frequently in an unventilated bathroom around a tub, for example, may cause problems.”

Ventilation can help reduce the level of pollutants in closed rooms, the researchers said.

Besides the more serious risks, Hamidi also said that some people who believe they have an indoor allergy or respiratory irritation may actually be reacting to pollutants from burning candles.

Traveling outside the country for a holiday is generally a great opportunity to relax, release the stress and enjoy some memorable moments with your friends and loved ones. Whether you want to spend long lazy days just lying in the sun or visit some extraordinary places, you will definitely live moments that you will never want to forget. Especially now that we have such busy lives and an experience like this may not come again for years.

The most convenient way to immortalize special moments of such a great trip is with a compact digital camera. This way you can bring little pieces of your trips home with you. The photos will offer you an opportunity to relive those moments. Compact digital cameras are very convenient particularly because they are very small and can be slipped practically anywhere. They are also very light so you don’t have to worry about putting extra weight to your luggage. Even a small child can easily carry one. Except for photo shooting, you can also use the camera to record memorable events in your life. With a high-quality camera you can record videos at a good resolution. This way you will capture even more of the experience.

Depending on the model, a compact digital camera can have a wide range of features. All cameras have a built-in flash which can be set on automatic, manual or timed. Another thing that can be easily adjusted is the way of capturing the event. With the automatic mode, you no longer have to ask someone else to take a picture of you and all your friends. You just set the camera on timer and snuck into the group.

This way everybody will be in the picture. If you choose a camera with a good zooming function, you can take photos from a fair distance without negatively impacting the quality. A good camera can also capture still images in case you are in a moving vehicle or if the subject you are photographing is moving. Using certain settings, you can take good pictures of landscapes while in the car or boat or take a photo of a flying bird or a running animal.

Although a compact camera is very easy to handle, there are some precautions you need to take care of. First of all, make sure that the batteries are fully charged. If you are away and cannot charge them very often it is best to keep an extra battery with you. Secondly, keep in mind that these cameras are quite easy to break and make sure not to drop them. You can tie them to something and wear them around your neck. This way they don’t break when you accidentally drop your bag. And lastly, remember that the camera is not waterproof. Make sure that no water gets to it if you want to keep it in good condition. Taking these small precautions will help you take great pictures with your camera for many years to come.

Let’s talk a little in detail about the types of credit cards so you know which you are able to benefit from the most. Sometimes only one will work for a particular person’s situation, while other times having more than one will benefit you better. Figure out why you want the credit card and then go from there. Do you have any credit; is it bad, do you just want something extra? Reward cards allow you to get back something when you have made your initial purchase. It could be travel points for your favorite airline with miles collected or even a basic points system.

Secured credit cards are used by those who are trying to rebuild their credit after a bad mistake in the past. This allows someone to put a deposit down on the credit card and only use the amount they have deposited for purchases. You can repair your credit fairly quickly using this method but remember since you are putting the deposit down, you can only spend what you have setup on the account already. Some do have higher interest rates but just checking over the fine print for these cards will allow you to pick the best to suit your needs. We have also heard about Student Credit Cards and these are strictly for those without credit in their history. You can start out with one card and slowly build up your showing that you are responsible.

When choosing which card is right for you; take into consideration how much you will be using it, and for what type of purchase. Some people only prefer to pay on credit to always keep their history clean and up to date, also trying to improve their overall credit score. For a lifestyle like this a Zero/Low Interest card would be best for you. These will let you save more than a couple of pennies during the introduction period (for the first 6-9 months) after it will then increase to the normal fees.

Some of the best reasons to purchase on a credit card rather than cash are being able to keep your credit score where you need it to be. The better the score the better the chances, if you need a loan, you can get smaller interest rates. It all ties together. Many people feel more secure using a credit card for online purchases rather than a bank card, for the merchant protection (security) offered through the credit card company.

Many people tend to tell others that credit cards are a waste of time and money, but it’s really not true. Credit cards have many purposes that can help you from rebuilding (or even starting) your credit up to taken care of you and your family (or business) for emergencies. If you are able to manage your credit correctly it’s not the hassle many make it out to be. It’s a true convenience when you don’t want to carry cash or a checkbook around, especially when traveling. The reasons are almost endless.
